Day 4: Establishing Relationships

Day #4 Establishing Relationships
Having a team that you feel comfortable with is key in being successful. You have to have relationships with one another. Sometimes it can be scary, especially if you have never met some of your team before. You need to establish a connection so that there is trust within the team.
Relationships are the glue that holds a team together. To achieve a solid relationship with your team you need the following 5 characteristics.
1.       Respect
-When it comes to relationships, everything begins with respect and a desire to place value on other people. Show it to others. You can’t make others feel important if you secretly feel they are a nobody.

2.       Shared experiences
-You can’t have a relationship with someone you don’t know, it will take time. Now I know a lot of this business is done through Social Media so it’s SUPER important to offer weekly one on one calls with your coaches, to schedule LIVE chats with your team via ZOOM so that you can establish those relationships. Some coaches will take a little more time than others, and it’s not always easy. Remember to build not only business relationships but to truly get to know your coaches. Be their friends.

3.       Trust
-          Without trust you cannot establish any type of relationship. If you tell your team you are going to do something follow through. Be someone they can trust and who they can go to in times of crisis. They chose you for their up line, they trusted you enough to sign up so you need to keep that going.

4.       Reciprocity
-          One sided relationships don’t last. You and your team members need to be willing to meet halfway. Some will sign up and choose not to work the business like they previously stated. Do not feel as if you have to chase them down all the time. When they are ready they WILL meet you half way. There has to be give and take. Make your team aware of this. Let them know you are willing to go above and behind for them but only if they are willing to put in effort as well. Once they commit, you must hold up your end of the bargain. Give them attention and show them you genuinely care.

5.       Mutual Enjoyment
-          Once you achieve the mentioned characteristics you will start to enjoy one another. You won’t see your team as just a team but you will start to see a family. You will all start to celebrate with one another and cheer each other on.

So….are you developing relationships? Do you spend time and energy building relationships or are you to focused on results?! Building relationships has so many benefits. Creating these relationships will hold your team together, there will be a sense of commitment and a need to succeed.

Your assignment: Today I want you to evaluate your relationships with your current coaches. Where are you at with each individual!? Where can you improve? Once you have done the evaluations please message your upline coach!
